About ISP

HKUST International Summer Exchange Program (ISP) welcomes students from our partner institutions to study at hkust in summer.

The program aims to create a rewarding exchange experience for students from around the world. It comprises high-quality courses taught by hkust instructors and opportunities to participate in local excursions that enable students to gain insight into the region.

Courses

ISP courses are taught by HKUST instructors. Most undergraduate courses at HKUST are of 3 credits, unless otherwise specified. ISP students should take at least 3 and up to 9 credits during summer.

Accomodation

University accommodation is compulsory for ISP students. There are nine student halls on-campus, and you will be assigned to a room in one of these halls with double occupancy.

Activities

ISP students are invited to a series of program activities. These include the orientation, campus and city tours, welcoming and farewell receptions, and various workshops about Hong Kong and Chinese culture.

Costs

ISP students do not pay tuition fees to HKUST as this is covered by the exchange agreement between your home institution and HKUST, but you are required to pay the accommodation fee and other fees.
